Buffalo, New York - Snow and High winds Cause Power Outages, Car Accidents and School Closings
|
A winter storm with winds gusting up to 60 mph hit the Buffalo area overnight. The storm knocked out power throughout Western New York and roughly 50,000 homes and businesses were closed, as well as many schools.
It only took an inch or two of snow to create a miserable morning commute. Roads were slippery and water covered and many traffic signals were not working, causing car accidents throughout the Buffalo area.
The National Weather Service states this storm will continue though the evening and make for a tricky commute home for Buffalo drivers. |
