After receiving my bachelor's degree and serving in the military, I obtained my juris doctor degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School. For several years, I practiced public interest law, representing indigent, disadvantaged and disabled clients. My cases included complex class action litigation against local, state and federal government agencies in state and federal trial and appellate courts.
I then obtained my master of laws degree from Emory University, with a specialty in litigation and trial practice. I began practicing personal injury law on the defense side, handling numerous trials representing the interest of defendants and insurance companies. Representing the little guy against a much more powerful and intractable defendant is, therefore, not new to me. I learned firsthand the strategic and financial considerations underlying insurance agencies' approach to litigation.
Cellino & Barnes is dedicated to leveling the playing field, and I now find my defense experience to be invaluable in my representation of persons wrongfully injured as a result of the negligence of others.
