Zithromax (Azithromycin)

Zithromax (Azithromycin), commonly known as Z-pack, is a popular antibiotic sold by Pfizer. Zithromax is prescribed for treatment of mild to moderate infections, such as skin infections, upper and lower respiratory tract infections, such as pneumonia, strep throat and tonsillitis, and venereal disease.
Zithromax has been reported to cause liver damage. Symptoms of liver failure may include:
- Yellow eyes
- Jaundice
- Nausea
- Abdominal pain
- Clay-colored stool
- Dark urine
- Elevated or abnormal liver enzymes
