New York State - Dog Bite Law - Transcript
A
dog bite can lead to severe damage, including permanent scarring and emotional trauma.
In New York State, and in most States, a dog owner is responsible for making sure their dog does not cause harm to another individual. In many communities, a dog must be leashed and properly restrained.
If the victim of a dog bite can prove that the dog has a
dangerous nature, and the owner knew about it, or should have known about it, then you may be entitled to compensation for your injuries.
If someone you love has a scar or puncture wound from a
dog attack, an investigation should be started immediately. We have made it easy for you to ask us any question you may have about dog bites. You can send us and e-mail, click to chat live with an attorney, or simply call us.
